2024-25 New Collections

The New Ancestral is the launch campaign of Cotlin Raw at the Feria Habitat Valencia. The stand is designed as a space that reconciles the old and the new, where ancestral traditions are not just remnants of the past but a foundation for the creation of a new contemporary identity.

The walls and floors of the clean, open space are covered with four rug models that transports visitors to India, Nepal, and Pakistan. Rugs with various techniques, materials, and finishes are specially selected to best represent the whole collection. For visitors to truly understand the importance of the fibers, we set up special display pedestals for them.

Both lines in the 2024-25 new releases called for storytelling and art direction for their online and offline presentation:

Skill and patience, knot by knot

Cotlin Raw headed to Nepal on a quest to create a Premium collection that they knew would require deep research to find high-quality fibers and local expertise in techniques and finishes. And then, what turned out to be the ultimate key was finding the artisans to carry it all out, artisans whose wise hands weave with exceptional skill.

Nepal is the home of patience, resilience, and attention to detail. They say that Nepalese master artisans have found in hand-knotted carpets a way to attain inner peace.

For the photo production, we had the opportunity to work in the home of the interior designer Isabel López-Vilalta, where the essence of the original architecture of the 40’s in Barcelona is beautifully preserved. The classic structure of the house is the perfect canvas for a dialogue between past and present, complemented by contemporary art and modern design furniture. The space strikes the perfect balance between elegant austerity and warm charm. The “Quiet luxury” of the Nepal collection could not have been photographed in a better setting.

Cotlin Raw gave me the chance to carry out a 360-degree communication project which encompassed brand strategy, storytelling, art direction and the design of on and offline collaterals.

Blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors

With the Outdoor collection, Cotlin Raw plays with extending the indoor experience to the outdoors—and vice versa! The aim is to create laid back environments where relaxation takes center stage, thanks to the durability and easy maintenance of its rugs. Made from polypropylene, they are weather-resistant, making them ideal for patios, terraces, porches, or any other outdoor space.

This time, we photographed in a rural area, outside of the city, inviting people to enjoy the small moments: a peaceful walk, an outdoor-meal, or simply sitting and admiring the scenery without rushing. Far from everyday stress, the rugs become part of a lifestyle where the most important thing is to enjoy each present moment.
