Since its inception, nanimarquina had implemented a variety of sustainability projects in India and Pakistan, where they produce their rugs. However, in 2022, they took on a more ambitious goal: to make themselves carbon neutral.

After a demanding four-month process, nanimarquina measured, reduced and a created a compensation program, choosing a future of zero emissions.
The Climate Neutral certificate makes it possible to measure the company's carbon footprint, as well as to identify the sources of major emissions. This allows the company to have clear indicators and to devise a plan to reduce carbon emissions in the value chain. At the same time, it entails a commitment to offset the registered carbon footprint by participating in verified projects that generate clean energy, thus eliminating an equivalent amount.
My role in this project has been twofold. First, as Project leader I got the different departments involved to collect the required information and I was in charge of passing it along to the consultancy. Second, as a communication consultant I transformed the data generated into a simple and digestible report: Green Manifest.
